Thanks to everyone who showed up to Jen Ferguson’s “Upstated” art show last Saturday during a wild winter wonder storm. What started off with exquisite art and wine tasting ended with amuse-bouche at Mercado Central, and delicious ribs and cornbread at Dinosaur BBQ.
Check out Jen’s new art for sale!
I'm a guest at Cosmic Con NY this weekend (Feb 15 & 16, 2025). I'll be selling CHEST FACE and my other "Deep Cut" comix, alongside Nick Forker, and will partake in two panels:
Saturday Feb. 15, 3pm
THE BUSINESS OF SELF-PUBLISHING COMIX
With Dean Haspiel, Fabrice Sapolsky, Mindy Indy, and Mahdi Khene
Ever wonder what it takes to produce and sell a comic book? Independent cartoonists Dean Haspiel (The Red Hook, Billy Dogma, Chest Face), Mindy Indy (Aer Head), Fabrice Sapolsky (Intertwined, The Big Lie, owner of indie publisher FairSquare Graphics), and Mahdi Khene (Steel Streets, Zuperhero Comics Presents, Bootleg Spider-Man) discuss the challenges, obstacles and rewards of getting their comix into your hands.
Sunday Feb. 15, 12:30pm
DUEL OF THE SPIDER-EDITORS: TALES FROM THE MARVEL BULLPEN!
With Danny Fingeroth, Jim Salicrup, Keith Williams and Dean Haspiel. Moderated by Roy Schwartz.
Join legendary Spider-Man group editor and Stan Lee biographer Danny Fingeroth, Spider-Man editor Jim Salicrup, Spider-Man assistant editor Keith Williams, and Spider-Man writer/artist Dean Haspiel, for an amazing, spectacular, sensational look at the real-life secret wars of the Mighty Marvel Bullpen!
Meanwhile, check out some high praise:
"Chest Face reminds me of the ferocity of Marvel’s The Hulk combined with the street-smarts of The Thing and with a lot of compassion like Paul Chadwick’s Concrete. Worth checking out." --Mike Clarke, Pop Culture Podium
