Please join Heidi MacDonald and I this afternoon for the first episode of the Comicsbeat Happy Hour!
Here’s an excerpt from the Heidi’s press release:
Get ready for some candid and uncensored talk about comics. We've been wanting to do video interviews for a while, and we're finally kicking this off with raconteur extraordinaire Dean Haspiel, in what will be an (eventually) regular Happy Hour feature.
This event will be LIVE for Comicsbeat Patreon members, who will be able to ask questions in real time. The video will later be viewable for all.
When: Monday, March 20th, 5 PM, ET. Check back for the exclusive Patreon member link.
The eleventh issue of the 12-issue IMAGE! 30th Anniversary anthology came out March 15th, featuring the next installment of my Billy Dogma comic, “I Will Break You But I Won’t Kill You Because I Need You.”
Proud of my pal/cartoonist Adam Suerte, who swung by Nightwork Studio to drop off his new, amazing graphic novel memoir, BROOKLYN TATTOO. I had the honor of helping edit his story and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the final outcome. Cheers!
Get BROOKLYN TATTOO!
I received an ominous, outer space version of COVID COP fan art by old SUNY Purchase chum/artist Mario Grillo (see above). And I got a grungy, pulp version of Covid Cop with a syringe full of Gowanus Canal water by artist Geoff Grogan (see below). I love iterations. It’s one of the most fun things comix can do. Maybe it will inspire YOU to draw your version of my pandemic spawned antihero, too.
If you haven’t already, please check out my COVID COP Kickstarter!
Thank you.
