+Ithacon 48, Nat Towsen, & Ringo noms
Jen Ferguson and I had a great time collaborating on a couple of “Monster Ala Carte” mash-ups at Ithacon 48. It’s always an honor and pleasure to mix it up with Walter & Louise Simonson. And hang out with Pittsburgh godfather, Don “Megaton Man” Simpson. Mike Gold, Don McGregor, Matt Bors, Chris Condon ,Bill Schanes, Keith Haugen, Bill Anderson, Bob & Shari Harrison. And more. Big Ups to Ed Catto and his amazing Ithacon students and staff for a swell soiree and smooth ride.
I also participated in an Indie-Comix panel with Gold, Simonson, and Simpson, moderated by Robert Jeschonek, that I recorded on my phone and will make available for DINO+ subscribers soon.
As a reward for the CHEST FACE Kickstarter, I welcomed backers and friends to a Zoom party (with co-host Vito Delsante) that was recorded on the VITO x DINO podcast. Joined by comedians Nat Towsen, Chris Mackar and Matt Champagne, we discussed the stand-up stylings of my rock bottom comic character and miraculously watched a Live Open Mic featuring CHEST FACE.
Nat Towsen discussed his set on the Jimmy Fallon TONIGHT SHOW, and we talked about comedic influences. Cartoonist Bob Fingerman drew Chest Face live and a good time was had by all. Other guests included writer/studio mate, Whitney Matheson, and artists George Folz and Peter Rostovsky (who won the 'Blank Slate' game we played off-podcast). See/hear us share laughs here:
