I was trying to raise COVID COP funds by playing Poker with some friends Saturday night and that didn’t work out the way I hoped for even though I had a blast socializing (I lost $20 but gained lots of laughs).
We managed to crack $11k this morning on my comix Kickstarter (THANK YOU) but we only have 3-days left to reach $15k for that much coveted Covid Cop Church Key stretch goal.
On my way home from Poker, I looked up in the sky and there was a purple and blue alert blasting from The Empire State Building. I couldn’t help but wonder if Covid Cop had taken NYC’s most famous skyscraper hostage to help boost the campaign signal or, worse, warn us of things to come…
Above is a piece of art I made to inaugurate last night's Seattle premiere of film director Onur Tukel’s new horror movie, POUNDCAKE. Cheers, Onur!
Above is a my girlfriend/painter/private art teacher Jen Ferguson’s spooky variant of COVID COP (plus mutants)! Jen is going to have an Open Studio in DUMBO, BK/NY April 22-23rd. Details soon.
Below are three more lovely variants of my Covid Cop antihero illustrated by Philly artist Dave Proch, father/son duo, Swifty & Henry Lang, and cartoonist Sean Von Gorman (of comics), — co-creator of The Pedestrian, my favorite new comic book hero — coming soon!
Okay party people. I apologize for the deluge of updates but I’m counting on y’all to help spread the good word on my campaign. Fingers crossed we can make it over the $15k hump.
